Why a maxillofacial surgeon?

Most dental clinics refer their hard cases out. We are where they are referred to.

An oral and maxillofacial surgeon is a dentist who has completed a further four years of hospital surgical residency and passed the fellowship examination of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. The training covers facial trauma, jaw tumours, cleft surgery, orthognathic surgery and implantology in the operating theatre, not the seminar room.

That depth changes ordinary dentistry too. Implants are planned around nerves and sinuses by people who operate on them. A wisdom tooth wrapped around the nerve is routine rather than alarming. A patient on blood thinners or with a bleeding disorder is managed, not turned away. And when something on a radiograph is not what it should be, it is recognised.

About the clinic
  • 4 yrshospital surgical residency after BDS, for each surgeon
  • FCPSFellowship of the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan, both consultants
  • 6 modedicated implantology certification courses, both consultants
  • 10+peer-reviewed publications between them

How we work

Diagnose properly. Explain plainly. Then treat.

  1. A real consultation. History, examination and the radiographs the case needs (OPG in-house, CBCT when anatomy demands it). Nothing irreversible at a first visit unless you are in pain.
  2. Options, not a sales pitch. You hear every reasonable option, including doing nothing, with the trade-offs. If a tooth can be saved, we say so. If a bridge suits you better than an implant, we say that too.
  3. A written estimate. Itemised and staged, before treatment begins. No surprises.
  4. Surgeon-delivered care. Your procedure is performed by the consultant you met, in the clinic under local anaesthesia or sedation, or in a hospital theatre under general anaesthesia when the operation calls for it.
  5. Follow-up that means something. Written aftercare, a direct number, scheduled reviews and a report back to your referring dentist.
